John C. Tyndall

John Tyndall, aka, JT, aka Big John, from Manchester, NH, passed away recently.
John was a larger than life figure who really enjoyed model railroading. To know John was to like John. He was the type of person who would light up a room when he entered. John`s true passion was model railroad operations. He was active with various aspects of operations, being actively involved in regular session in Meredith as well as the Seacoast region of New Hampshire. He was also an active participant of Rail Run, Ops till You Drop, helping during Tour de Chooch, and a member of the Seacoast Division NMRA. John was also an active member of Northeast N-Trak having built a n-scale corner module.
John lived in the Plattsburg NY area for quite a while and was active with the Hudson/Berkshire Division of the NMRA before moving to New Hampshire. He was also active with the Concord Model Railroad Club as well as the Nashua Valley RR Association in Shirley, Massachusetts. John was a lover of Gatorfoam, the material closely related to foam board and has done clinics on its use in model railroading both as a skyboard/backdrop and other scenery material. More recently, John could be spotted at the local model railroad shows in New Hampshire and Massachusetts as he usually had a table or two as he sought to downsize his model railroad items.
John will be deeply missed but hopefully anyone who knew him can think of a funny story or have fond memories of John that will last a long time!
Rest in peace JT.
Ron Wood.
