William ‘Bill’ Henderson Trueheart, JR

Bill Trueheart passed away on Friday morning, December 3, 2021. Bill was a U.S. Army veteran who served for 23 years with duty in Korea and also in Vietnam, retiring in 1980 at the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. Bill owned his own hobby shop, The Village Depot, in Bedford, NH, from 1980 to 1992 and was one of the founding members of the Bedford Boomers model railroad group. For over 30 years, this informal group hosted a free railroad show for the public at McKelvie School in Bedford and the group continues sharing their friendship and support of model railroading. Over the past 40 years, he was a great friend to many of the model railroaders in the Southern New Hampshire area and he gave his time to restoration of the Flying Yankee and Sea Shore Trolley Museum. Bill was also an active Seacoast Division NMRA member for over 30 years. His presence will be sorely missed.
